Acapulco Gold

Acapulco Gold holds a very special place in my heart, so I thought that it would be pertinent to share it with the rest of my fellow neighbors. It holds that special place in my heart because very recently, someone very close to me became sick, and was requesting my knowledge of this particular strain that I had limited knowledge about. They spoke of this strain in great detail and even told me of the great times they had while partaking at a time when I was far from conception. Origin and growth: Acapulco Gold, is one of the most well-known strains and hails from Acapulco, Guerrero in Mexico. As the strain stands, it is predominantly sativa (80-20 split), but some say that the strain has been watered down over the years and was originally a pure sativa strain. It grows in hot and temperate climates and takes about seventy to eighty days to flower. Appearance: Deep gold and green in color and has an amount of thick resin on the outside of the bud. Burnt toffee and caramel is present when breaking up the bud. Medical effects and suggested use: This strain has been known for use in patients suffering from stress and anxiety, depression, aids as a pain reliever, and lulls insomniacs to sleep. Expect dry eyes and dry mouth as a result and in some users, dizziness and paranoia have been reported. This strain has been known to carry a hefty 23% THC count, giving a “heavily stoned” effect. Acapulco Gold has been hailed as one of the best, yet dying, strains. My research shows that this strain is a Sativa dominant strain, but the original strain was a straight Sativa strain, not a hybrid. Whatever the case may be, this strain seems like it is getting harder and harder to come by in the United States, but has been reported by some that they have had access to it abroad. 234x60 Acapulco Gold
