Recreational Pot Clubs and Bars already in Existence in Washington and Colorado

potbars27n 1 web Recreational Pot Clubs and Bars already in Existence in Washington and ColoradoSince November’s legalization efforts in the only two legal marijuana States a few establishments have decided to test the grounds. In Washington, “StoneGate” is one of the few establishments that now allow for “private smoking”. Although public use of marijuana is prohibited under these new laws the rules of the game hasn’t been fully established which allows certain pioneers to push the boundaries. Unlike the outlandish prohibitionist claims that cannabis legalization will destroy all social norms, people found that StoneGate’s marijuana nights almost cater a “Zen like environment”. Pot Club owners were always aware (under prohibition) that many of their users would sneak off to the shadows to “toke up” and never really had a problem with their habits. Now they have the luxury to be attended at the bar and if you don’t have a medical marijuana card you would only pay a small membership fee of the bar itself. You can rent vaporizers, bypassing the “no smoking” rule since you’re not “Technically smoking” when vaporizing. Frankie's Sports Bar and Grill in Olympia on the other hand created a private smoking lounge for people who want to either smoke tobacco or cannabis. Ironically they are located less than a mile from where Washington State Liquor Control Board is scrambling their brains to create regulations for their new cannabis system. Owners claim a spike in revenue due to the allowance of cannabis consumption on site and nearly by half of their normal income. As of now there have been no reported incidents of violence or trouble of any kind. No bar fights, no drunken rants just a sense of unity and peace. Strangely people also seem to be less paranoid when consuming cannabis, most probably since they know that the “man” won’t be knocking on their door and hauling them to a cold concrete cell. With Washington and Colorado etching a way for this old-new system to jump back into the mainstream, other states such as Missouri are also thinking of skipping Medical Cannabis and jumping right into the recreational market. This snowball is only gaining momentum. 234x60 Recreational Pot Clubs and Bars already in Existence in Washington and Colorado
